What a Surprise in Frankfurt!

During our participation at the Frankfurter Buchmesse, we were delighted to come across the cover of @forewordreviews (July/August issue), featuring the U.S. edition of Mama’s Scent, published by @interlinkbooks.

Seeing it displayed in such a large format among the fair stands was a truly meaningful and proud moment for us.

Founded in 1998, Foreword Reviews is a U.S. magazine dedicated to celebrating independent publishing — from small presses and university publishers to self-published authors. Through its insightful and professional reviews, distributed to bookstores, libraries, and major wholesalers such as Ingram and Baker & Taylor, Foreword has been promoting literary quality, cultural diversity, and creative freedom for over twenty-five years.

Mama’s Scent Review

Patterns and textures layer in the jewel-toned collage illustrations of this exquisite picture book that honors the bond between mother and child. A girl muses on all the memories held in her mother’s scent: happy days, rosy cheeks, and special celebrations. The scent always makes her feel safe, but she is surprised when she smells it during school one day. After an extensive search, she discovers her mother’s scarf tucked into her schoolbag; she wraps herself in the scent until they are reunited.
